The Design Process
We start with an email discussing what you would like to order. We can use anything you have to show your idea, from inspiration photos, rough sketches (even if you cannot draw), and a photo of the room where it will go. Sometimes we use one of our existing designs as a jumping off place and modify from there. Other times it is a completely new design
Next, we will send drawings of our designs based on your vision. It starts with sketches and hand drawings of several iterations. Once you have chosen your design, we produce scale drawings for your approval.
As we are discussing the design, we will also discuss the material of the piece. We make most of our furniture in cherry and walnut with the occasional maple, oak, and ash. We invite you to come to our showroom and see the different varieies in person. If you cannot make it to us, we can send material samples for you to compare and look at, preferably in the intended space.
